This set is still packed in the original box, and the cards are still bound by their original "cigar band" style wrappers and unused. There are 45 different color player cards and 45 reading cards. Shigeo Nagashima (HOF) and Masaichi Kaneda (HOF) are featured on the box top. Player cards (image cards) are in perfect condition. The reading cards (text cards) also retain their original white background. It's amazing that these cards sat untouched from the moment of their manufacture by Shinkosha, 48 years ago, until now. The key card in the set is the Shigeo Nagashima (HOF) rookie card. There are a total of 18 HOFers in the set including Wally Yonamine (Hawaii), Tadashi Sugiura (Rookie), Masaichi Kaneda, Katsuya Nomura, Kazuhisa Inao, Tetsuharu Kawakami, Tetsuya Yoneda, Masaaki Koyama, Takehiko Bessho, Futoshi Nakanishi, Kazuhiro Yamauchi, Kenjiro Tamiya, Yoshio Yoshida, Tatsuro Hirooka, Yoshinori Hirose, Motoshi Fujita and Noboru Akiyama. Also, Americans Jack Ladra and Andy Miyamoto.
Size: Each card is 2 7/32" x 3 5/32". The box is about 5 1/8" x 6 5/8" x 1 1/4".
Condition: All player (photo cards) are Nm/Mt. The reading cards (text cards) are also Nm/Mt. The box has complete integrity and is Ex/Mt.
