The Detroit Tigers, Led by Hall of Famers Al Kaline and Jim Bunning, toured Japan following the 1962 season, posting a 14-2-2 record against Japan Pro Baseball opposition. This metal pin with a glazed enamel front was most likely presented to members of the press. The back of the pin is engraved with the inscription, "Japan U.S. baseball friendly--Mainichi Newspaper Co., 1962". While we have offered several belt buckles from this tour in the past, this is the first time we have had the pleasure to offer a press pin.
