Following the 1953 season, the New York Giants toured Japan, playing 14 games and finishing with a 12-1-1 record. Led by their irrepressible manager, Leo Durocher, and future Hall of Famers Monte Irvin and Hoyt Wilhelm, the Giants mowed down various Japanese opposition, including teams with future Japan Hall of Fame members Masaichi Kaneda, Tetsuharu Kawakami, Takehiko Bessho, etc. This large size 30 page album of crystal clear original photos, produced by the Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper, sponsors of the Tour, chronicles the entire event. Copies of this striking volume with its colorful, embroidered cover were presented to each member of the Giants' Tour party. This exquisite piece would hold a prominent place in the collection of any Giants fan.
