JCM 13c was one of the first Japanese baseball sets imported to the United States. Thus, American collectors have known about the set for over 60 years. The 40 card set includes all of the biggest Japanese stars of the era. The fifteen Japan Hall of Fame members found in the set include Sadaharu Oh, Shigeo Nagashima, Masaichi Kaneda, Isao Harimoto, Katsuya Nomura, Yoshio Yoshida, Futoshi Nakanishi, Kihachi Enomoto, Yasumitsu Toyoda, Kazuhiro Yamauchi, Masaaki Koyama, Masahiro Doi, Tadashi Sugiura, Shinichi Eto and Kazuhisa Inao. There is also a card of former U.S. major leaguer Jim Marshall.
All imported JCM 13c cards have a an identification number hand stamped on the back by the U.S. importer. Since the cards in this lot all have the importer's stamp, we know that they have been in the U.S. since the 1960s. Cards without the hand stamp are seen with much less frequency.
