Brooks Holder played virtually all of his 17 year career in the Pacific Coast League, mostly with the San Francisco Seals. He joined the Seals in 1935 and went on to become a member of the PCL Hall of Fame. Holder was an outstanding hitter, batting .295 lifetime with 2,540 hits. However, he was generally regarded as a poor fielder, which most likely accounted for his never reaching the major leagues.
Holder pounded Japanese pitching, compiling a .379 average on the 1949 San Francisco Seals Tour of Japan.
