A San Francisco native, Dino Restelli, at the age of 19, began his pro baseball career with the San Francisco Seals in 1944. After several seasons with the Seals, Restelli, an outfielder, split the 1949 season with the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Seals, playing in 72 games for each team. Despite being depicted on quite a number of cards pertaining to the 1949 Seals Tour, he did not actually accompany the team to Japan, as he was a member of the Pirates at the time. However, as a Pirate, he did participate in the 1951 U.S. All Star Tour of Japan, batting .358 with three homers against Japanese opposition. His most commonly seen American card is his 1950 Bowman.

This card is the only example of the JF 35 Dino Restelli known to the hobby. Blank backed card.
