This photograph was signed with a gold marker by HOFers Tetsuharu Kawakami "The God of Batting" (d. 2013) and Shigeru Chiba "The Formidable Buffalo" (d. 2002). Baseball Magazine Co. (BBM) held a private signing with several players in the fall of 1998. Most photographs were limited to 50 pieces. This rare example is an artist proof numbered AP2 at lower right. There were only five artist proofs made for this photograph.
