This artist proof photograph was signed with a gold marker by HOFer Shigeru Chiba (d. 2002). Baseball Magazine Co. (BBM) held a private signing with Chiba, as well as a number of other players, in the fall of 1998. In addition to 50 signed and numbered photos of Chiba, there were five artist proofs produced.
