This is the largest and strongest condition group of Ace Gum cards that we have had the pleasure to offer. Ace Gum cards are notorious for poor centering and poor printing quality. We are pleased to report that this lot exhibits little of either. These small, nearly square cards with a paper/scissors/rock symbol on the back are exceedingly scarce, as evidenced by the scarcity factor of R5 given to the set by the Japanese Baseball Card Checklist & Price Guide, Vintage Edition. This designation indicates that three or fewer copies of each card in this lot are known in the hobby. Of the 22 cards known to be in the set, 14 depict Japan Hall of Fame members. 10 of those 14 Hall of Famers are found in this lot, including two of the most valuable, Masaichi Kaneda (400 wins) and Minoru Murayama. All cards in this set contain close-up black & white photographic images, providing very good representations of some of Japan's finest players of the era. Cards include (top row, left to right) - Masaichi Kaneda, Yasuyuki Iwamoto, Kazuto Tsuruoka and Osamu Mihara. All four are HOFers. (2nd row left to right) Motoshi Fujita, Futoshi Nakanishi, Kazuhiro Yamauchi and Minoru Murayama. All four are Hall of Famers. (3rd row left to right) Katsumi Shiraishi, Shigeru Sugishita (both HOFers), Mitsuo Uno and Tokuji Kawasaki (non-HOFers). (bottom row left to right) Katsuki Tokura (non-HOF) andYasushi Kodama (non-HOF).

Size: Each card is 1 1/4" x 1 7/16".

Condition: Average condition - Ex.
