Masaichi Kaneda, who played Japan Pro Baseball from 1950 to 1969, is thought by many to be Japan's greatest pitcher of all time. He won 400 career games, with a lifetime ERA of 2.34. He also struck out 4,490 batters during his career. He was a power pitcher who also possessed a great curve ball.
The two identical photos depict a dapper looking Kaneda in a nice suit, a year after his retirement as an active player. The photo on the right was autographed by Kaneda in black marker. On the blank back, is text that indicates that the photo was signed on November 29, 1970. Autographed photos of vintage Japanese players are quite difficult to find in general.
Size: Each photo is 5 1/2" x 7 1/4".
Condition: Autograph 10 out of 10. Both photos are Ex/Mt on the front. The photo pictured on the right has some browning on the blank back.
