Edited by Mataro Hosomi and published by Yomiuri Shimbun, the title of the Japanese version of this well known book is Giant Babe Ruth. It was published in November 1948 in Japan.
In 1947, Babe Ruth announced that his authorized biography would be published in 1948 in the U.S., and would be "As told to Bob Considine". Apparently, the Babe, suffering from cancer at the time, was ultimately unable to talk to Considine about the book more than a few times. Thus, Considine didn't have enough information to finish it! Ultimately, most of the book was not actually written by Considine, but by Fred Lieb, a sportswriter who covered Ruth's career extensively in the 1920s and 1930s for the New York Telegram newspaper.
In any case, the book has some great photos of Ruth inside.
