Calbee has produced baseball cards in Japan every year from 1973 to the present. This is the first time we have ever offered a package that originally contained a Calbee card from the first year of issue. This 20 yen package of a Calbee snack once contained a 1973 Calbee baseball card. The face of the player depicted on the package doesn't particularly look like Sadaharu Oh. However, the player is wearing Yomiuri Giants uniform #1 (Oh's number), is left handed (as is Oh) and is employing something close to Oh's flamingo batting stance. On the back there are instructions that discuss home run cards and how to send them in for redemption, along with historical baseball facts and a product freshness and quality guarantee.
