The JK 9 Karuta set is named as such because the box which contains a set of 45 player cards features rookie Shigeo Nagashima with all time pitching great, Kazuhisa Inao.

Here we have on offer the Shigeo Nagashima player card from the JK 9 set. It is a colorized image taken from a well known black & white photo of Nagashima at the end of his patented swing. We have generally sold this set in the past as a complete set. This is an opportunity for a Nagashima collector to economize, by purchasing the JK 9 rookie card of "Mr. Giants" without having to purchase the entire set.

This is the only example of the 1958 JK 9 Shigeo Nagashima card graded by CGC. SGC has graded only one example which received a grade of SGC 4. PSA has graded three examples--2 graded PSA 4 and the other graded PSA 7.
