We have never seen this item before! This bookmark card was produced by Shonen Gaho magazine to commemorate Tetsuharu Kawakami's 1955 Central League Most Valuable Player award. The Japanese text on the card contains Kawakami's name, the Yomiuri Giants team name, and the fact that Kawakami had won this prestigious award. It was the third and final time that Kawakami would win MVP honors. That season, he led the Pacific League with a .338 batting average.
The reverse side of the card contains a blank weekly schedule designed for a student to enter his or her classes each day.
