The JGA 2 set was issued in two large uncut sheets with a 1948 issue of Yakyu Shonen (Baseball Youth) Magazine. This is only the second time we have seen this sheet. This is considered to be the "better" of the two sheets, as it includes all the Yomiuri Giants and Hanshin Tigers cards found in the set, along with the Hawks and Flyers. Cards of 14 Japan HOFers are found on the sheet including Tetsuharu Kawakami (God of Batting), Bozo Wakabayashi (Hawaii), Shigeru Chiba (The Formidable Buffalo), Hideo Fujimoto (all time ERA leader), Fumio Fujimura (Mr. Tigers), Jiro Noguchi (won 40 games in one season), Shosei Go (Taiwan), Takehiko Bessho (won 300 games), Kaoru Betto (Gentleman of Baseball), Kazuto Tsuruoka, Katsumi Shiraishi, Hiroshi Nakao, Haruyasu Nakajima and Tokuji Iida.
The sheet was folded in half by the publisher for placement into the magazine. The fold does not affect any of the cards. This is an extremely hard-to-find piece in uncut form.
Size: Each card is 1 7/16" x 2 1/4". The sheet is about 10 1/2" x 15 1/4".
Condition: The sheet has corner touches and minor edge foxing, but these defects occur outside the card borders. If individual cards were cut from the sheet, all would be Nm/Mt or Mint.
