There has been speculation that this card is a 1st prize winner associated with the JBR 52c Pastel Colors bromide set, but we are not certain.  In any case, Michio Nishizawa is seen swinging with his mouth open as he puts as much force as he can into the swing.  

During the prewar years, Nishizawa was an outstanding pitcher.  After the war, he became an even better hitter.  In fact, Michio Nishizawa joins Babe Ruth as the only players to win 20 games in a season as a pitcher, and later lead the league in batting average.
