This bookmark card was a gift to purchasers of the July 1961 issue of Elementary School 5th Year Student magazine. Beneath Nagashima's image on the card, various data are found, such as Nagashima's name, team, birthplace, date of birth, university, etc., etc. The hole punched at the top by the manufacturer was designed for a tassel. It is unknown whether the card originally came with a tassel, or if the user was supposed to insert his/her own tassel. Given the condition of the card and the hole, it is doubtful that a tassel was included at the time of issue. In our 32 years of dealing with Japanese baseball cards and memorabilia, we have never before seen this bookmark card. Blank backed.
