Among the most sought after "tobacco style" menko cards produced during the late 1950s and early 1960s are the two subsets of JCM 30a featuring sequential action images of Shigeo Nagashima (HOF), Japan's most beloved player ever,
and Masaichi Kaneda, 400 game winner and all time career strikeout leader. The Nagashima card is a rookie. In our 32 years of buying, selling and auctioning Japanese baseball cards, this is only the second time that we have had the
opportunity to offer a JCM 30a sequential Nagashima/Kaneda pair, and the first time that we've offered both number four cards in the sequence. The card pair was originally a third prize winner on a display sheet. As such, there is extra
paper attached to the back, as is seen with all such prize winning cards, which does not detract from the value.
Size: Each card is 1 13/16" x 3". The uncut pair is 3 5/8" x 3".
Condition: Nm/Mt to Mt with extra paper attached to the back as is the case with all prize sheet cards.
