We have never seen this memento of the 1955 New York Yankees Tour of Japan before! This large roster sheet, possibly a stadium handout, contains the headline, "Japan Goodwill Baseball". On the front, we see blue tint photos of 14 members of the New York Yankees including Hall of Fame members Mickey Mantle, Casey Stengel, Whitey Ford and Yogi Berra. In the center of the page is a complete team roster including the managers and coaches, with uniform numbers, position, height, weight and age. The rosters of the various opposition that the Yankees faced during the Tour are on the back. During the Tour, the Yankees played against several Japan Pro Baseball teams, as well as a number of All Star teams consisting of Japan Pro Baseball players. The Yankees disposed of all competitors quite easily, winning 15 of 16 games, with one tie.
