All three tickets in this lot are from games played at Korakuen Stadium in Tokyo. The pink ticket is for the first game of the Tour, played on 10/22 against the Mainichi Orions. The Yankees won 10-2 behind pitcher Tommy Byrne, with Elston Howard blasting two homers. Japanese Hall of Famer Masaichi Kaneda took the loss. The lavender ticket was used to gain admission to the penultimate game, played on 11/12 against a Pacific League All Star team. The Yankees prevailed 10-0, with Ralph Terry besting Japan Hall of Famer Takao Kajimoto. Once again, Elston Howard homered. Bob Cerv and Hank Bauer also hit home runs. The brown ticket entitled the bearer to enter Korakuen to see the Yankees trounce an All Japan team on 11/13 by the score of 9-3. This was the final game of the Tour. Whitey Ford started for the Yankees, but Jim Konstanty was the winning pitcher, besting Takumi Otomo of the All Japan squad. Yogi Berra and Andy Carey homered in the game. During the 16 game series, normally light hitting Andy Carey led the Bombers with seven homers. Surprisingly, Mickey Mantle did not hit a single ball out of the park.

Size: Each ticket is 5 3/8" x 3".

Condition: All tickets were used and all have a bit of extra paper or glue on the back at the left edge. The top ticket has a light vertical fold otherwise the fronts are nice.
