Many Japanese baseball fans consider 1964 to be Sadaharu Oh's greatest year. In 1964, Oh, a nine time Central League MVP, set the Japan Pro Baseball single season home run record, belting 55 (in a 140 game season), a mark that
stood for 49 years. His 119 RBIs and 110 runs scored were also Central League highs for the year. Oh batted .320 in 1964, missing out on a Triple Crown by only .003. Here we present a memento from that banner season.
