This playing card deck was included with the April 1965 issue of Elementary School 4th Year magazine. The set consists of 17 baseball players, 5 sumo stars and a host of entertainers. What a group of baseball stars it is! 15 of the 17 baseball players in the set are Hall of Fame members and/or Golden Players: Sadaharu Oh (868 HR), Shigeo Nagashima (Mr. Baseball), Masaichi Kaneda (400 wins), Katsuya Nomura (657 HR), Isao Harimoto (3,000 hits/500 HR), Kazuhisa Inao (won 40 games in one season), Minoru Murayama, Kazuhiro Yamauchi, Yoshio Yoshida, Yasumitsu Toyoda, Kihachi Enomoto, Yoshinori Hirose, Noboru Akiyama, Shinichi Eto and Tadashi Sugiura. Sumo rikishi include Yokozuna (Grand Champions) Taiho (greatest ever), Tochinoumi and Kashiwado. While the box shows wear, the cards are really sharp!
