Shigeo Nagashima is a cultural icon in Japan whose importance transcends mere baseball. He was the leader of the V9 Giants teams that won nine consecutive Japan Series Championships. He hit the game winning home run in the Emperor's Game. His image and personality are said to be the essence of Japanese manhood. Here, we offer one of Nagashima's most cherished rookie cards. It is a large size premium adorned with his facsimile autograph. What makes this lot truly unique is that the card comes nestled in its original Fujiya Gum display easel, and includes the original packaging. What a fantastic display this grouping would make in someone's hobby room! This is the first Nagashima card with display that we have ever had the privilege to offer.

Size: Card--5" x 7 1/2". Easel--5 7/8" x 9"

Condition: The card is in its original state as mailed from the manufacturer. It would be Nm/Mt but has a very minor chip at the right border which must have occurred during the manufacturing process. The easel is Ex to Ex/Mt.
