This card was not known to exist until a few months ago. Thus, it is not found in the Japanese Baseball Card Checklist & Price Guide, Vintage Edition 2.1. Two examples have recently been discovered. Obviously, this is a rare card of a
Hall of Fame member. The card design is quite similar to 1949 Bowman. Tokuji Iida was a top first baseman during his 17 year career in Japan Pro Baseball with the Hawks and Swallows (1947-1963). He earned the 1955 Pacific League
MVP award, and had a consecutive appearances streak of 1,208 games.
Size: 1 7/8" x 2 3/8"
Condition: Would be Ex/Mt but has black scuff marks on the back.
