In 1929, the University of Michigan Wolverines baseball team journeyed to Japan, playing eight games between August 31st and September 18th against top Japanese university opponents. Michigan cruised to a 6-2 record in those contests. Here we have a Mizuno Official University League baseball signed by 18 members of the Michigan team. The most prized signature is that of Bill McAfee. McAfee, a pitcher, went 3-0 during the Tour, and by the next season was pitching for the Chicago Cubs.
