The first all star series between the Pacific and Central Leagues was played in 1951. This lot includes the roster/scorecard produced for the three game series, along with a ticket stub for Game 3, played at Korakuen Stadium on 7/8/51. The Pacific League prevailed in this contest by a score of 3-1, which was their only victory of the series. The winning pitcher was Giichi Hayashi, with Hall of Famer Hideo Fujimoto taking the loss. Homers were hit by Hall of Fame members Shigeru Chiba and Tokuji Iida, along with Junshi Nakatani and Shigeya Iijima.

The thick paper roster and scoresheet is the first of the annual publications that were printed in conjunction with the All Star Series for quite a number of years, beginning in 1951. The two interior pages are an appealing display of green tint player headshots of all team members. The back page contains complete rosters and a place to write in the line scores for all three games of the All Star Series. Japanese text. The ticket stub is in outstanding condition. There are no folds, creases, or dirt. The corners are nice. The ticket was torn perfectly along the perforation.
