Prewar Japan Pro Baseball memorabilia is quite rare. This is especially true for the 1941 season, as the Japan edged toward war with the U.S. In fact, the three games of the 1941 East-West Series were played on November 29th and 30th, and on December 1st, the last game having been completed only six days before the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor! This large sheet contains complete rosters for each team, along with 18 player headshots. Nine of the players pictured are Japan Hall of Famers--Sadayoshi Fujimoto, Henry "Bozo" Wakabayashi (Hawaii), Tetsuharu Kawakami, Haruyasu Nakajima, Katsumi Shiraishi, Hisanori Karita, Jiro Noguchi, Hiroshi Nakao and Shigeru Mizuhara.
