This eight card set with 10 different backs is one of the very few sets produced anywhere in the world which is more prized by collectors for the card backs than the fronts! The ten different blue ink backs feature the same image of Ted Williams, with a number from 1 to 10 at lower right. This lot includes the highest demand card from the set, which is the card with Williams' uniform number 9 printed on the back. The lot also features cards numbered 2, 3, 4 and 6. On the fronts, various Japanese players are depicted. In this case, we have (top row, left to right) Keisuke Imanishi, Hirofumi Komae (bottom row, left to right) Isamu Fujii, Tetsuharu Kawakami (HOF) (Rookie) Japan's greatest hitter of the 1940s and 50s and Kazuto Tsuruoka (HOF).

Size: Each card is approximately 1 5/8" x 2 3/8".
