The 1951 U.S. Major League All Stars Tour of Japan was the first postwar Tour to feature Major Leaguers. The marquee names were the DiMaggio brothers, Joe and Dom along with manager, Lefty O'Doul. Other luminaries such as Billy Martin, Ferris Fain, Ed Lopat, Bobby Shantz, Bob Lemon and Mel Parnell also made the trip. This full ticket is for the seventh game of the series, played on November 3, 1951 between the All Stars and a team composed of Yomiuri Giants and Hanshin Tigers players. The Americans prevailed by a score of 13-2, with Shantz and Lemon providing the pitching to go with six homers by the All Stars. While ticket stubs for this Tour are seen on occasion, full tickets are seldom seen.
