The "Man Who Changed Japanese Baseball" as the title of Robert Fitts' excellent book aptly described him, Yonamine brought American style play to the Japanese game, with his hustle and determination. His success in Japan Pro Baseball led to the steady flow of North Americans playing in Japan that continues today. This interestingly designed card was a display sheet premium card, which was most likely awarded to the holder of a JBR 28 bromide with a third prize winner stanmp on the back. The card was produced in bookmark style, including a tassel. Blank backed.
