Hochi Shimbun (Newspaper), founded in 1872, is a Japanese daily sports newspaper. More recently, the name of the paper was changed to Sports Hochi. In either 1951 or 1952, Hochi Shimbun offered a set of three large size baseball cards of Yomiuri Giants HOF players to its readers. The blank backed cards each include facsimile player autographs. The players include: (top row, left to right) Tetsuharu Kawakami, Shigeru Chiba, (bottom row) Takehiko Bessho. Only a handful of these Hochi Shimbun cards have entered the hobby thus far.
