This is the first time that we have been able to offer a copy of this rare card at auction. It is only the second example that we have seen. Parnell, the Boston Red Sox ace, was the principal starter on the 1951 U.S. All Stars Tour of Japan, going 4-0 with a 2.25 E.R.A. in seven games. This strikingly beautiful, extra large premium card was originally issued as a first prize winner on a display sheet. Parnell's name is printed in Japanese at the bottom. The signature appearing on the card is printed. Blank backed.
Size: Approximately 7" x 10"
Condition: Two small chips and minor tears at borders and two large diagonal creases. The image remains clear and sharp.
