This card, which depicts the great Russian 300 game winner, Victor Starffin, was produced as part of a set which commemorates the San Francisco Seals Tour of Japan. We have never before offered this card at auction, nor do we remember seeing it during our nearly 30 years of buying, selling and auctioning Japanese baseball cards. It is truly a rarity. Starffin is shown as a member of the Daiei Stars. The reverse also contains the names of two Japanese pitchers who participated in the Seals Tour, Hideo Fujimoto (HOF) and Shissho Takesue.
