Born in Taiwan, Oshita entered Japan Pro Baseball in 1946. The "Man with the Blue Bat" was the most feared hitter in the early years of the Pacific League. Oshita was named to eight Best 9 teams during his career. He was elected to the Japan Hall of Fame in 1980. Diecut mask cards are among the most popular with collectors of Japanese baseball cards. This specimen is in a superb condition, rarely seen among diecut mask cards. There is no wear, and the eye and string holes remain unpunched.
