Over the years, we have offered a number of cards from this set. However, this is the first JCM 46 card of Shotaro Ogawa that we have ever presented at auction. Ogawa was the greatest pitcher of his generation. After leading his team to eight consecutive appearances in the National High School Baseball Championships at Koshien, he starred at Waseda University from 1929 to 1932, bewildering opponents with his fastball and "drop ball". After college, he continued his association with amateur baseball, shunning the "corrupt" idea of playing professionally. This card was recently pulled from a taba (unopened pack)!
Size: 1 1/2" x 5 1/4"
