At Keio U., Miyatake was a superstar on the mound and at first base. As a pitcher, he won 15 consecutive games. During the first three seasons of Japan Pro Baseball (1936 to 1938), Miyatake was once again a double threat. He was elected to the Japan Hall of Fame in 1965.
