While known solely as a third baseman during his playing career with the Yomiuri Giants (1936-42), during his college days at Keio U., Mizuhara was also an outstanding
pitcher. As a result, both cards in this lot depict Mizuhara in his pitching motion. The card on the left is from the Realistic Drawing menko set, while the card on the
right is from the Red Sky menko set. Both sets are recently catalogued and do not yet appear in the Japanese Baseball Card Checklist & Price Guide, Vintage Edition. At
present, only three copies of each card are known. Both are blank backed.
Size: Card pictured at left--1 3/4" diameter. Card pictured at right--1 11/16" diameter.
Conditon: Card pictured at left--Ex to Ex/Mt. Card pictured at right--Vg. Both have chipping at the edges, which is more pronounced for the card pictured at right.
