Throughout his university and pro career, Saburo Miyatake was a potent threat on the mound and at first base. Interestingly, on the card at left, Miyatake is shown
throwing left handed, when in reality he was a right handed thrower. Both cards are from the recently catalogued Realistic Drawing menko set. The set does not yet appear
in the Japanese Baseball Card Checklist & Price Guide, Vintage Edition. At present, this is the only known copy of the card on the left, while there is one other copy
known of the card on the right. Blank backed.
Size: Each card is 1 3/4" in diameter.
Condition: Card pictured at left--Vg/Ex due to background dirt and minor edge chipping. Card pictured at right--Would be Ex, but has paper loss in right hand portion.
