Lot Description  

A hard hitting outfielder with a .295 lifetime average over 12 major league seasons, Nieman moved to Japan for the 1963 campaign. He played one year with the Chunichi Dragons, where as a starting outfielder, he batted .301 with 13 homers. His contribution to our hobby was this short printed card. Of the 40 card JCM 14f set, 30 cards were originally imported to the U.S. by American service men. The other ten cards are rarely seen, either in the U.S. or Japan, leading to the theory that they must have been short printed.
