Parnell spent his entire ten-year career with the Boston Red Sox (1947E956). He was the leading pitcher on the 1951 U.S. Japan Tour team, with four victories and a 2.25 E.R.A.
This photo, which was taken during the Tour, was signed "Best Wishes Mel Parnell" with a blue pen while Parnell was still in Japan.
