This set contains 50 of the biggest stars of Japan Pro Baseball in the mid-1970s. The cards were produced by Ed Broder, a member of the US military who was stationed in Japan at the time. Broder later became infamous in the U.S. for producing non-authorized baseball
cards. However, the cards he produced in Japan contain no such stigma, because until that time, only a few of the hundreds of Japanese issues produced had been league approved. The backs contain player name and info in English. There are 13 cards that
feature North American players including Wes Parker, Ron Lolich, Joe Lutz, Don Blasingame, John Sipin, Clete Boyer, Bob Taylor, Roger Repoz, Don Buford, Matty Alou, Clarence Jones and Gene Martin. Approximately 20 cards feature Japan HOF/Meikyukai members
including Sadaharu Oh, Shigeo Nagashima, Isao Harimoto, Sachio Kinugasa, Yutaka Enatsu, Hiromitsu Kadota, Tetsuharu Kawakami and many others.
Size: Each card is 1 7/8" x 3".
Condition: Nm/Mt
