One scorecard (right) is similar in cover design to a much more commonly seen 1939 scorecard. However, this one is for a series of three games involving the Giants, Senators and Eagles. Inside are four team rosters (also Nagoya Kinko) and 16 player photos. Players with photos include HOFers Victor Starffin, Haruyasu Nakajima, Sadayoshi Fujimoto, Shigeru Mizuhara, Hisanori Karita and Shigeo Mori. The top portion is an unused scorecard. The second scorecard (large baseball on the cover) is for a series of games played over ten days featuring the Osaka Tigers, Hankyu, Nagoya (not Nagoya Kinko), Nankai and Lion. These are the five teams from Japan Pro Baseball that season not listed in the other program. The games were played at Nishinomiya Stadium and Koshien Stadium. Team rosters are found inside. We have not seen either scorecard in the past. Japanese text.
Size: The large baseball cover scorecard is 5 1/4" x 7 3/4". The other scorecard is 5 1/8" x 7". Each is four pages.
Condition: Both would be Ex+, except for creases from being folded into quarters at one time.
