This is no ordinary jigsaw puzzle. The puzzle, authorized by the Orix BlueWave team, is entitled Ichiro 51, Japan’s Best Baseball Player. It consists of 2,014 pieces and includes puzzle paste. There is a small price sticker on the original clear plastic wrap covering the box, which lists the original sales price as 3,360 Japanese yen, which was about $35 U.S. dollars at the time. There were a number of different BlueWave-authorized Ichiro puzzles issued by the same company. However, this type is by far the best, most detailed, and largest.
