The image on this postcard first appeared as an M-101-2 Sporting News Supplement in November 1910. We assume that this three layer postcard was made available in Japan shortly thereafter. In the upper portion of the postcard, the Sporting News Supplement logo and date are replaced with the Japanese text, "Philadelphia Athletics 1910 World Champion Players". Future Hall of Famers seen on the postcard include Connie Mack, Chief Bender, Home Run Baker, Eddie Collins and Eddie Plank. The reverse side is typical of Japanese postcards of the era.
