JBR 45 is a nine card set that was included as an uncut sheet in the November 1967 edition of Shonen Club (Youth Club) magazine. Individual cards were cut from the uncut cardboard sheet and removed from the magazine.

In 1967, the 27-year-old Sadaharu Oh led the Yomiuri Giants to their second of nine successive Japan Series championships. Oh was elected Central League MVP for the third time. He would ultimately receive nine Central League MVP awards. Oh led the league in homers (47) and RBI (108) while playing in 133 games. He also batted .326.
