This 40 card set depicts most of the best Japanese baseball players of the era. The complete set of cards was originally sold in three different configurations. Some sets were sold as uncut sheets. Others were sold as uncut, perforated pairs in a red box. The complete set offered here is the scarcest of the three versions. It comes in a yellow box containing unperforated pairs. There are 16 Hall of Famers in set.

HOF players include Shigeo Nagashima, (Japan's Mr. Baseball), Masaichi Kaneda (400 lifetime victories), Kazuhisa Inao (won 40 games in one season), Katsuya Nomura (657 lifetime HR), Tetsuya Yoneda (300 career wins), Minoru Murayama (Man of Flames) rookie card, Yoshinori Hirose, Tatsuro Hirooka, Shinichi Eto (rookie card), Yoshio Yoshida, Kenjiro Tamiya, Tokuji Iida, Motoshi Fujita, Kazuhiro Yamauchi, Futoshi Nakanishi and Tadashi Sugiura. Also, North Americans Chico Barbon, Carlton Hanta and Jack Ladra.

The immortal Shigeo Nagashima appears on one side of the box, while Kazuhisa Inao appears on the other side. Inao appears on only the yellow box version.

Size: Each card is 1 1/2" x 2 11/16", with each pair 3" x 2 11/16". The box is 2 7/8" x 3 3/8" x 1/2".

Condition: The box is Ex. The uncut card pairs range in condition from Ex to Nm/Mt.
