Myojo (Morning Star) magazine is a general entertainment periodical. Seven cards (six non-baseball) were inserted in the August 1958 issue, including a card of Shigeo Nagashima. Other cards were issued in a second, unknown 1958 issue of the magazine. including a card of Masaichi Kaneda. This thin stock, blank backed card has a slick surface. Japanese text includes “Myojo” printed in the lower left corner, while Nagashima's name is printed at lower right. A facsimile autograph also appears on the card. It's a great close-up image of Japan's Mr. Baseball and Mr. Giants during his rookie season.
