Shukan Shonen Jump and Gekkan Shonen Jump were two beloved Japanese magazines for children, focusing heavily on manga. Shukan Shonen Jump, a weekly publication, began in 1968 and continues to thrive today in digital format.
This unique two-piece poster was a special gift awarded to lucky children who won a lottery sponsored by the publishing company of the aforementioned magazines. When the posters are unfolded and placed together, they form a life-size image of baseball legend Sadaharu Oh in his iconic flamingo batting stance. The names of both publications are printed in the lower left corner, while Oh's facsimile autograph is elegantly displayed in the lower right.
Size: Each poster portion measures 29" x 42", combining for an impressive 84" tall when assembled.
Condition: Minor crinkling at the upper right corner, but otherwise in near-perfect condition.
