Here we have two of the earliest magazines ever published to feature both members of the O-N Cannon on the cover.

The  magazine with the greenish background is the March 1959 special issue of Shukan Yomiuri magazine. This magazine also includes the smaller pamphlet entitled Central League Pacific League Full Player List (Meikan).

The magazine on the right with the blue background is the March 1959 issue of Baseball Magazine. This publication is the special Spring Camp issue. One image shows pre-season Central League ROY candidate Eiji Bando pitching to candidate Sadaharu Oh, presumably in a spring game. Neither player won the award. There are numerous other pictures and plenty of Japanese text describing the upcoming 1959 season.
