This card was part of a photo supplement included in a 1958 issue of Heibon magazine. The other cards in the set are non-sport. Nagashima's name is printed in Japanese text at lower right. Although it is definitely a Heibon issue, there is no Heibon logo on the card as is seen in some of the magazine's other baseball issues. This is a truly high quality image of Japan's Mr. Baseball taken during his rookie season. It is scarce as well, as it has received a scarcity factor rating of R4 in Japanese Baseball Cards Checklist & Price Guide, Vintage Edition 3.0 by Gary Engel. Blank backed.
